Symposium at EASP 2026 — Social Development
On July 2, 2026, I had the pleasure of chairing a symposium at the European Association for Social Psychology (EASP) congress, titled “Social Development: A Focus on Intergroup Cognition in Development”, where I presented my own work on intergroup attitudes in preschool children in conflictual settings (Intergroup attitudes in preschool children in conflictual intergroup settings: The case of Romania and Lebanon).
Thanks to my colleagues who shared their research at this symposium:
- Sophie Arnold — Teaching accurate genetics science reduces high schoolers’ gender essentialism
- Nuccio Ludovico — Game Changers: Linking Motivational Aspects and Anti-Bullying Behavior in Youth Sports
Thanks also to Kristin Shutts, who led the closing discussion and offered a broader perspective on these different approaches to social development and intergroup cognition in children and adolescents. Announcements and news can be much longer than just quick inline posts. In fact, they can have all the features available for the standard blog posts. See below.
